Face it. Earning an MBA will never be easy. But it’s also fair to say earning an MBA will never be easier for working professionals in Gainesville and Hall County, thanks to the location of North Georgia College & State University’s new master of business administration  program in nearby downtown Cumming at Exit 15 off Georgia 400. 

TeamMBA, as the new master of business administration  program is called, will launch its inaugural MBA class in August, located in the Cumming City Hall Building at the corner of Main and Dahlonega streets in downtown Cumming. The previously undeveloped fourth floor of the prestigious city hall building is being transformed into a first-class, technology-rich graduate-level classroom environment.

TeamMBA’s location in the heart of the Georgia 400 corridor enables it to serve Forsyth County and the many other communities in the region that have not had MBA programs within reasonable driving distance.

“If you’ve ever thought about going back to school for an MBA degree and dismissed the idea because you couldn’t imagine fitting an MBA program into the rest of your life, think again,” John Douglas, director of MBA marketing and development at North Georgia College & State University’s Mike Cottrell School of Business, advises professionals who live or work in Gainesville and Hall County. “North Georgia’s new TeamMBA program brings a master of business administration degree within practical reach.” 

In addition to North Georgia’s MBA program being close to home for northeast Georgia residents, the schedule of evening classes twice a week makes it feasible for working professionals to earn master of business administration degrees without having to interrupt their careers. Attending classes Tuesday and Thursday evenings, students can plan to earn their MBAs within just 20-24 months.

Students accepted into TeamMBA will belong to a “cohort” of 30-40 MBA students who will progress through the entire two-year program together. Smaller study groups and team projects, facilitated by the latest communication technologies, will keep TeamMBA students in touch and engaged between classes.
