Team-Based Learning

Team-based learning goes hand-in-hand with the leadership development that underpins North Georgia’s TeamMBA program. What better way to understand team dynamics than to live them as an integral part of your educational model? Experiencing how teams form, function, create solutions and solve problems will help you contribute more meaningfully and lead more effectively in your organization.

TeamMBA lays the groundwork for its team-based learning approach before you even step foot in the classroom, gathering you and your classmates together for a Two-Day Teambuilding Advance a few weeks before the program begins. You’ll learn about yourself and the other members of your cohort as you progress through a series of enlightening group activities and personal assessments. Your cohort will function as a team throughout the TeamMBA program. You will break into smaller teams for an intensive Capstone Leadership Experience beginning about half-way through the degree program. Your team will work with an executive mentor to define and research an organizational or community issue, ultimately presenting your findings to a committee composed of business faculty, business council members and your team’s project client.

In your second summer, you’ll have an opportunity to expand the team experience and deepen the relationships you’ve established with the members of your cohort through an optional International Experience.
